Hi everyone...
did u guys enjoy yourself at "A SHOT TO FAME" and service on sat???

i enjoyed myself alot...
I'm really learning to be "I AM WHO I AM!"

On sat, Pastor Kong preached a very very good message...
He preached something most of us know...
But yet refreshing...

Just wanna share with you guys my thoughts...

This week's sermon really kept me thinking...
Out of the 3 pillars that CHC is building upon...
2 of them is "The Great Commandment" and "The Great Commission"...
The question that came into my mind was which one come first???

My answer is that it depends how u look at it...
Myself i think it's important that i know and always be reminded that Jesus has commanded that we are to make disciples... But before i can make disciples i need to bring in new souls... But how to bring in new souls???

Just like what pastor preached, do not go to them and tell them all their wrong doings, etc... But to do things in Jesus' way... to show love care and concern... Sometimes ppl just don't need us to tell them what to do, because they already know what to do, but they need someone to be with them to listen to them, care for them and love them as who they are...

i felt that even for myself, i can be so professional that i forgot all these... Can even forget to invite ppl... which is totally wrong... and like what pastor mention about the survey that was done... if people are being approached, they will want to come to church even accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior... But the thing is that have we go all out and being kingdom minded??

I think is not too late now... Lets stand up, go out and reach out...
and a great opportunity is round the corner... MACNITUDE!!!
My question for all of us is that... Is the flyers still lying somewhere in your house???
Lets not turn a flyer to a rough paper... lets put it into good use...
For me... I'm gonna pass it to my friends when i go for my project presentation...
Lets do it together as a CELL GROUP!

Prioritize Your Time

Why is it that time drags when you want it to pass quickly and flies when you need more of it? It’s not very cooperative!

Time is the great equalizer. We all have the same amount of it. The difference between successful people and average people is this: Achievers manage their time wisely. Rather than wasting time or spending time, they invest time. They make the most out of each moment.

In these difficult days, people are realizing that time is more important than money. Money is a renewable resource - there are always places to get more of it.

But time is a limited resource.

You only have a certain allotment of time in your life. When it's used up ... that’s it! YOUR TIME IS YOUR LIFE.

When you give someone your money, you’ve given them something that you can replace. But when you give someone your time, you've given them a part of your life. This means time management is really “life management.”

The Bible has this to say: “Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times! Don’t live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants” (Ephesians 5:15b-17 MSG).

You could summarize these verses this way:

1. Analyze Your Lifestyle. Be aware of where your time is going.

2. Utilize The Present. Make the most of this moment.

3. Recognize What’s Important. Focus on priorities that last.

A question to consider throughout the day: “How much of what I’m doing right now is going to count ten years from now … 50 years from now … or for eternity?”

You have just enough time to fulfill God’s purpose for your life. If you can’t get it all done it means:

1. You’re doing things God never intended for you to do, or

2. You’re doing the right thing in the wrong way.

Prayer: “God, help me to manage my time wisely this week.”

Why Quit?

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, “He who is coming will come and will not delay.” Hebrews 10:36-37 (NIV)

If you’re discouraged because of God’s delay in answering your prayers, understand the delay is NOT a denial. Just because the answer or the miracle hasn’t come – yet – that doesn’t mean God isn’t going to answer or that he’s forgotten you or that he doesn’t care about you. It simply means “not yet!”

Spiritual maturity is knowing the difference between “no” and “not yet,” between a denial and a delay. The Bible tells us, “He who is coming will come and will not delay” (Hebrews 10:37 NIV).

The delay may be a test of your patience. Anybody can be patient once. And, anybody can be patient twice. And, just about anybody can be patient three times. So God tests you patience over and over and over.

Why? To see how patient you are?

No, he does it to show you how patient you are. So you’ll know what’s inside of you, and you’ll be able to know your level of commitment. God tests you so that you can know he is faithful, even if the answers you seek are delayed.

If you’re discouraged, turn it around by remembering God teaches you patience during delay. Ask him to transform your discouragement into patience.

You may be going through difficult times right now and feel like dropping off the planet. You’re discouraged because the situation you face seems unmanageable, unreasonable, or unfair.

It may seem unbearable and inside you’re basically saying, “God, I can’t take it anymore. I just can’t take it anymore!”

But you can.

You can stay with it longer because God is with you. He’ll enable you to press on. Remember, you are never a failure until you quit.

Don’t quit. Resist discouragement and finish the race God has set before you.

Serving God is Fun!

Yesterday - 19 Oct 2008(Sunday)
Myself and Kim volunteered ourselves to help out in...
CITY HARVEST DIALECT CHURCH...

It's the first time for Kim...
I felt that if i'm her i will feel that i'm put under a test, because she is appointed to serve outside B2 toilet... Nevertheless its a very important role because a toilet usher has to make sure the safety of the elderly. I'm very proud of her... A humble heart...

Although it's not my first time serving in dialect church...
But it felt so different coming back to serve as a helper as compared to a ministry worker...
However...
I was the only one assigned to serve in the hall...
It was fun...
But i did something very unusual...
Something I had never done in service before...
Which is to do chorus board for musicians...
Challenging... Because I'm afraid that i will flash the wrong thing...
But by God's grace everything was well...

Ya... As I was serving in the hall, which means I stayed throughout the whole service in the hall... So let me share with you what i experience...

During Praise and Worship...
Although there was only one praise and one worship...
But looking at how the elderly worship... I'm impacted to do the same...
They really have a heart that truly pure coming before the Lord in Worship...
They clap their hands the loudest... not only that... they clap they hands high in the sky...
When they worship... Hands were lifted STRAIGHT high...
The sing their loudest...

During the Word...
It spoke about when we go through TESTS... what to do???
Similar right...
A very simple message...
But even people like me are very impacted...
It talks about turning to the Lord in times of trouble...
Because He is the only one that know the ROOT PROBLEM...
Many times God has said to rely on Him... Turn to Him...
So just obey lo...
What God can do is something we can never do with our own strength...

During Offering...
A great offering message also...
it talk about...
How many folds you want to REAP...
Simple principle... The MORE YOU SOW THE MORE YOU REAP...
Let make a decision for God to bless us...

After everything...
They actually choose 8 elderly to take part in a MAKE OVER next week...
I was like WOAH...
Even elderly also want to look sharp...
I think its time we do something about it too...
Lets do something different!

And after everyone left...
A few of us got to arrange chairs...
Not enough brothers...
So sister also did the chair arrangement...

But God is good...
He provided us with dinner...

After a day of serving...
We conclude that Serving Is Fun...
We really enjoyed ourselves...

Lets really learn to serve...

Indeed He is our provider...
He is and always is...

3 Thing to ask yourself:
1. WHAT DO I THINK ABOUT THE MOST?

3. HOW DO I SPEND MY TIME?

SATURDAY had service with Pastor Kong...
He rocks...
He preached an awesome word...
WHAT IS GOD ULTIMATE PURPOSE FOR US?
God has not send Jesus to just HELP US, HEAL US, REDEEM US, RESTORE US, DELIVER US, etc... But God has called us to a higher place... back to the beginning... to be like our God...
God is ELOHIM=CREATIVE God

Many times...
We Pray...
God I repent, God forgive me, God save me, God provide for me, God deliver me, etc...
Lets come to a place that our prayers will be...
God make me creative, God increase my creativity, God let me be as creative as you are, God use my creativity to impact the market place, God empower me, God manifest yourself as ELOHIM, etc...

We went to city hall...
Went HK Cafe....
Yes again... hahaha...

We just enjoyed a wonderful WEEKEND!!!

On Sat we had service down at Jurong West...
And Pastor Kong preached a great message...
"Breaking the curse of debt!"

God is not against the Loan but He is against the Habit of Loaning...
So lets not cultivate the bad habit ya...
Lets be the lender and not the borrower...

After Sat service we went makan over at BEST!
Fellowship time...
Then after we finish... We didn't just end there...
BUT...
Some of us went over to Jurong Point...
And we continued fellowshiping at Coffee Bean...
All the way till 1030pm...
So long huh???
Let me tell you why...
It is because we had a new Brother in the house that constantly gives us joy even in the midst of fellowship...
He is NONE OTHER THAN!!!

Lets really come and be blessed by what God is going to speak to our hearts...
Lets not just come with a mindset that we are in a time of "Building Buildings..." but we are in a great time of "Building Lives!" Amen!
So friends, On saturday... lets walk out of church with a TRANSFORMED LIFE!!!

We're going to have Service Prayer Meeting

We had food also... like:

haha... had fun playing number game cum TRUTH OR DARE... but only truth... haha...
and james had a typical questions to ask...
its all abt RELATIONSHIPS... lol la... haha...

thank God they didn't...
